Casino has always considered forbidden territory for students, but from this Wednesday on, college students will not only take courses in roulette, blackjack and poker, but also first gaming academy will teach trainee croupiers the tricks of the trade. Gaming company Gala Casinos sponsored the project.
Blackpool and The Fylde College has built its own training casino in the resort, earmarked to benefit from the gambling law reforms of the government. Blackpool Borough Council produced the plan in 2003. The plan relied on the introduction of new gambling laws. The introduction of the Gaming Bill will help transform the town into an excellent resort. According to the Council, the plan includes five new super-casinos, what will create 30,000 new jobs and an annual income of £437m.
Different courses ranging in levels will be available to students aged over 18. Students will learn skills such as operating a roulette wheel and table. Some of the students will train as super croupiers and others as slot machine engineers. It looks like spending your time in college is worth after all!
